Label Print Systems
Label content and design can directly impact document misfilings, tracking, retention, and retrieval time. Label print systems provide an automated method for implementing a color-coded system. They can support a wide array of filing system types including alpha, alphanumeric, straight numeric, and terminal digit. Custom labels are created on a PC and printed to a low-cost ink-jet or laser printer. Labels can be customized to support specific records management needs, and can be easily changed as needed.
BENEFITS
Convenience - Label print systems eliminate the need to have to manually apply individual "sticky" labels to a folder. Label system design is pre-determined and pre-set, which eliminates the need for determining the color and alpha or numeric sequence of each folder. The label print system can pull information from an existing database for even greater efficiency.
Flexibility - There are limitless label design options. Labels can be printed with your logo, photo, clip art, date grids, retention schedule designations and bar codes. By including bar codes, files can be integrated into a bar code tracking system.
Cost efficiency - Producing labels is quick and easy. It is more accurate and therefore reduces misfiles. There's no need to stockpile or inventory rolls of labels and other related supplies to color code file folders. Label stock can be purchased and printed as needed.
SYSTEM OPTIONS
There are two ways to access the label print system depending upon the customer's needs:
PC-based - PC-based systems were the first to be offered to the market and are still often the customer's preferred choice. Systems are often sold by the number of seats needed and can be networked to offer more convenience.
Web-based - With the web-based system you can print from any computer that has an approved seat that has internet access, 24/7. An unlimited number of users can access the system at any given time, resulting in increased productivity. The label print system runs on any computer, printer or operating system connected to a PC and linked to the internet. There is no upfront or ongoing software or hardware expense and upgrades to the software are done automatically. There is also no software installation cost.
LABELS
Label print systems pre-design the label color bars and then output to a number of different blank stock strip label types.
Strip labels are available in two types for either ink-jet or laser printers. Strip labels are easy to use and can be printed in 8" or 10" strips, in a variety of widths. The one-piece design requires minimal labor to apply.
